With seven major interactive exhibit areas on three floors, Maine Discovery Museum is the largest children's museum north of Boston. Located in the historic Freese's building in downtown Bangor, MDM is just an hour's drive from Acadia National Park to the east and the mid-coast to the south. Regular Museum Hours Tuesday - Saturday 9:30 - 5:00 Sunday noon - 5:00 Museum admission is $6.50 per person Members and children 12 months & younger get in free! All children 12 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Closed Mondays, except for some school holidays.
