Penobscot Community Health Care operates fifteen clinics in the Bangor area offering a wide range of services including family medicine, dental, pediatrics, geriatrics, nursing home care, psychiatry, mental health counseling, physical and occupational therapy, lab, x-ray, pharmacy services and healthcare for the homeless and those at risk of homelessness. In addition, PCHC has a team of medical specialists who deliver a wide range of specialty services including allergy, gynecology, orthopedics, podiatry care, ear/nose/throat care, pain management, pediatric dermatology and osteopathic manipulative therapy. All PCHC services are provided with a sliding fee scale based on income through its Affordable Care Program to make certain that everyone can obtain the care they need. Our mission is “Providing access to patient-centered, high-quality, integrated community health care with integrity and accountability, regardless of ability to pay, for people of the greater Bangor region.”
Neurology Associates of Eastern Maine (NAEM)
Since 1972, we’ve been providing a full range of neurodiagnostic services and neurological care for adults and children in eastern, northern and central Maine. Our practice currently includes 9 board-certified neurologists with a broad range of specializations. Our Sleep Disorders Center is the first in the state accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and the only such center in the region to evaluate children under the age of 5. Dr. James W. Sears, a diplomate of sleep medicine is director of our sleep disorder center. He and Dr. Branimir Brozman are both board-certified sleep specialists. Our EEG Laboratory is the first in the country to be accredited by the lab accreditation board of ABRET (American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists. We are affiliated with EMMC, St. Joseph Hospital, and run clinics at Houlton Regional Hospital, Maine Coast Memorial Hospital in Ellsworth, and Sebasticook Valley Hospital in Pittsfield.
